Push connect or push-to-connect fittings are used to connect hoses and tubing that transfer fluid power through pneumatic and hydraulic systems. These systems take a medium such as oil, water, or gas and pressurize them with the initial energy of an engine driven pump of various kinds. Then that energy pushes the fluid or gas through the hoses or tubing and in the process pressure is built up by the restriction caused in the hoses, and regulated with various checks and valves.
